The port of Barcelona is a major transportation hub in Spain and a popular cruise destination, making its access convenient from different parts of Spain and from international locations. It is located below the old town in Barcelona's city center, so you can walk there from the city by taking the La Rambla from Plaça de Catalunya. If you are arriving at Barcelona Airport, you can take the buses A1 or A2 to the city center and from there take the metro line L3 to the Drassanes stop. Should you arrive by car, you can reach the port by following the road C-31, which leaves from El Prat and connects with road B-10, reaching the port area. Alternatively, there are a lot of taxis at designated ranks.
Parking in Barcelona near the port area can be quite challenging due to limited space and high demand, especially during the cruise season. However, there are several parking options available for those looking to park near the port. Barcelona has its own official cruise port parking facilities. These parking lots are close to the cruise terminals, making it convenient for cruise passengers. They are secure and supervised. It's advisable to make a reservation in advance, if possible, especially during peak cruise season. There are also public parking lots near the port area. Some of the nearest public parking facilities to the cruise terminals include the BSM Moll de Barcelona and BSM Litoral Port parking lots. These are often a bit less expensive than the official port parking but can fill up quickly during busy periods. You can find more short-term and long-term parking options around the port area.
