of Syros, Tinos, Mykonos, Andros etc.

In addition, there are ferry connection from Samos
ferry to the island of Rhodes, and basically all East Aegean and Dodecanese Islands via a third island.

Your trip to Samos can be with a conventional ferry
boat or by Highspeed depending on the day, the
time and the ferry company you wish to travel with.

If you select to visit Samos with the conventional
ferry your trip will take about 7-9.30 hours while
with a Highspeed ferry 5.30-6.30 hours depending
on how many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

SAMOS > MYTHOLOGY

According to mythology, Goddess Ira was born at the river banks of Imbrasos, that’s why the river was also named Partheneios. There she also met Zeus, the love of her life.

There also exists another fable concerning Agkaios who is believed to be the settler and builder of Samos city. According to this myth, one of the many slaves – due to the hard conditions for the ground usage - gave Agkaios, the “negative wish” not to drink from his wine. When the wine was ready to be drunk, Agkaios called his slave and showed him his glass, which was full of the wine that he was prepared to taste. The slave said “many things can happen till the mug reaches limps”, who was instantly vindicated.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

From today, August 13, 2020 a new decree by the Italian Minister of Health has come into force providing the following alternative measures which apply to people entering Italy after staying in, or transiting from Croatia, Malta, Greece or Spain in the last 14 days:

a. Obligation to present a certificate showing a negative result of a swab, done within the 72 hours prior to entry in Italy.

or

b. Obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test carried out through a swab upon arrival at the Italian airport, port or border place, where possible; or carried out, within 48 hours from entering the Italian territory, at the competent Italian National Public Health clinic. In this latter case, while waiting for the examination test, people are due to wait in fiduciary isolation at their place of residence or dwelling.

All people, regardless of symptoms, entering Italy from the above mentioned countries are due to immediately inform the Prevention Department of the competent Italian National Health office about their arrival. In the event of outbreaks of symptoms of Covid 19, the obligation of immediate information to Italian Health Authority (through the relevant phone number) as well as of self-isolation remain into force.
