Santorini and the Cyclades in general are connected
to the ports of Piraeus and Rafina. From Santorini
you can also visit the nearby Cycladic islands of Ios, Mykonos, Anafi, Amorgos, Kimolos, Paros, Naxos etc.

In addition, there are ferry connection from Santorini
ferry to the islands of Crete, Rhodes, and basically all Dodecanese and East Aegean Islands via a third island.

Your trip to Santorini can be with a conventional ferry boat, by Highspeed or Flying dolphin depending on
the day, the time and the ferry company you wish
to travel with.

If you select to visit Santorini with the conventional
ferry your trip will take about 5-7.5 hours while with
a Highspeed ferry 3.5-5.5 hours depending on how
many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

SANTORINI > BEACHES

The renowned beaches of Santorini are mainly located on its east coast. Each beach is individual, the black shiny pebbles, black, red and white sand create unforgettable scenery. All the beaches are organised with sun beds, umbrellas and the possibility of sea sport activities.

Kokkini (Red) Beach - Akrotiri

This beach is located in the south east of the island near the archaeological site of Akrotiri. The famous Red Beach is so named for the red pebbles on the beach and the backdrop of red rock. Access to this beach is on foot or by caique from Fyra or Akrotiri.

Kamari

Kamari is a seaside resort 10 km from Fyra. It is the largest beach of the Cyclades islands and extends over 5 km. A variety of sea sport activities are available.

Monolithos

Monolithos is on the east coast next to Kamari beach. It is a well-organised, quiet beach that is usually preferred by families with children.

Oia

Oia is located in the northern part of the island and the beaches of Ammoudi, Baxedes and Armeni amaze the visitor with their extraordinary beauty. These beaches are popular with the island residents.

Perissa

Perissa is a coastal settlement 15 km south east of Fyra, a popular beach with black sand and azure waters as well as sea sport activities.

Perivolos

The quiet and isolated Perivolos beach is located close to Perissa in the south if the island.

Blyhada

A little farther down the coast from Perivolos is Blyhada beach, popular with nudists as it is quite isolated.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

From today, August 13, 2020 a new decree by the Italian Minister of Health has come into force providing the following alternative measures which apply to people entering Italy after staying in, or transiting from Croatia, Malta, Greece or Spain in the last 14 days:

a. Obligation to present a certificate showing a negative result of a swab, done within the 72 hours prior to entry in Italy.

or

b. Obligation to undergo a molecular or antigen test carried out through a swab upon arrival at the Italian airport, port or border place, where possible; or carried out, within 48 hours from entering the Italian territory, at the competent Italian National Public Health clinic. In this latter case, while waiting for the examination test, people are due to wait in fiduciary isolation at their place of residence or dwelling.

All people, regardless of symptoms, entering Italy from the above mentioned countries are due to immediately inform the Prevention Department of the competent Italian National Health office about their arrival. In the event of outbreaks of symptoms of Covid 19, the obligation of immediate information to Italian Health Authority (through the relevant phone number) as well as of self-isolation remain into force.
