BEACHES

St. George

The beach at St. George is one of the most frequently visited and popular beaches on the island. There are sun beds, umbrellas and the opportunity for water sports for those who wish.

Agios Prokopios

The beach at Agios Prokopios is considered perhaps the best beach on the island and is among the best in Greece. It is about 1.5 km in length and has deep-red sand and transparent crystal water. It lies 3.5 km from Chora and is located in the southwest part of the island.

Mikri Vigla

Mikri Vigla is yet another beautiful beach with deep-blue, clear waters. It is a bay that separates the beaches Virgin from the north and Sahara from the south. In the area there are several taverns, mini market, hotels, and Wind Surfing facilities.

Plaka

Plaka is a fairly large beach. The main feature of the beach, is the fine white sand making it ideal for relaxation and swimming.

Agia Anna

Located in the south west side of the island it is an extension of Saint Prokopis. It is a fairly quiet beach with fine golden sand, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. Beach umbrellas and chairs are available for rent.
