Chora

Chora Ios Cyclades Greek Islands Greece

It is located on the hill 2 km above Gialos, the island's port. It is a graphic town that impresses everyone walking along its narrow paths, smelling the flowers and meeting yesterday with today.

The ancient settlement is now characterized as listed buildings.

Small white houses, narrow paths and churches embrace Chora as if protecting it from something evil.

Mylopotas

Mylopotas Ios Cyclades Greek Islands Greece

The coastal settlement of Mylopotas is located just 3km from Chora.

The central road begins from the port, passes through the capital and ends at its dreamy beach. It is a highly organized beach where you can relax enjoying all comforts and water sports.

It is considered one of the most beautiful in the Aegean. If you enjoy good food you can try the local cuisine in the taverns nearby.

Ormos or Limani

Ormos or Limani Ios Cyclades Greek Islands Greece

The port of Ios, Limani, as the locals call it, is one of the safest and best-protected from the winds. For this reason it has been called "Small Malta".

Limani itself is located 2km from Chora and it is as beautiful as the capital. A lot of houses have been built on the island during recent years and tend to join these two settlements.

Psathi

In the east part of the island, very close to Agia Theodoti, with a great beach, the small village of Psathi is located.

It has been built in a location rich in greenery. Its beach, one of the biggest on the island, is a shelter for the turtles, careta-careta. Due to the strong winds that blow, the beach is ideal for surfers.

It is worth visiting the remains of the ancient temple and the church of Saint Ioannis built in the 17th century.
