Chora is located in the northeast part of the island at about 11km far from the port Linaria. Chora is the capital city of Skyros. It is built amphitheatrically on the hill sides, with the castle monastery of Saint George on the top of it.
A walk around the cobblestone pavements will fill you with pictures of traditional life.
Linaria is located about 10km northwest from the capital. There you can find the port, hidden into a small gulf keeping it safe from the Aegean winds. The settlement of Linaria lies around the port, with a traditional architecture and the sea aura that makes it look like a live art picture.
