The Agnonta beach is 8 km from Hora, a pine-clad pebble beach with beautiful sunsets. There are tavernas and lodgings on the seafront.
It is named after the Olympic champion runner Agnonta, when in 569 BC he landed here after his victory in Olympia.
Stafylos is the closest beach only 4 km away from Hora. It is a lovely bay with a sandy beach and crystal clear waters; an organised beach with sunbeds, umbrellas, restaurants and accommodation. Do not omit to visit the famous cave of Stafylos. The beach took its name from Prince Stafylos, whose grave was found on a small cape at the end of the beach containing his golden sword which is on display in Athens Archaeological Museum. According to legend Prince Stafylos was the son of Dionysos and Ariadni and lived here at 1600 BC.
Velanio is the continuation of Stafylos beach with a natural border made by a small cape. The beach has fine golden sand and crystal clear waters. The beach is organised with sunbeds and umbrellas. In the past Velanio was popular with nudists.

The legend says that it was named after a woman pirate that tried to conquer the island. Andrina’s pirates landed at Panormos, while she hid the boat in one of the coves and waited for their return. Her men were overcome by the islanders and when Andrina learned the bad news she fell into the sea and drowned. Andrines is located between Panormos and Milia with some small peaceful pebbled coves shaded by pines.
Milia Beach is the largest on the island and is located close to the beaches of Panormos and Andrines. An organised beach with crystal clear waters offering sea sports, sunbeds and umbrellas. There are small coves at one end and the islet of Dasia.
