The archaeological museum is located in the Old city. The museum includes discoveries mainly from the excavation of the Temple of Great Gods and is structured in four rooms. In the central room there are found, entablature from the Courtyard of Altar of the Temple and Dome of Arsinoi B, departments of the room of Anathimata etc.
The folklore Museum was built by the Municipality and the Cultural Association of Samothrace.
The museum exhibits various objects as the gear of Kechagias (the cattle-breeder in Samothrace), agricultural tools, various tools for the fibre’s process and the traditional loom with all the spare parts. Dominant position has the wooden “mesandra” of the 20th century, a wardrobe that could be met in all the Samothrakian houses.
