Kos and the Dodecanese in general are connected
to the port of Piraeus. From Kos you can also visit
the nearby Dodecanese islands, the Cycladic islands
and Crete through other ports.
Your trip to Kos can be with a conventional ferry
boat or Highspeed depending on the day, the time
and the ferry company you wish to travel with.
If you select to visit Kos with the conventional ferry
your trip will take about 7-10 hours while with a
Highspeed ferry 5.50-8.50 hours depending on
how many ports the ferry will call at on the way.

Tigaki is the nearest beach to the city of Kos, lying 11 kms north of the town. It is one of the most beautiful and most popular beaches on the island of Kos. It is a long white sandy beach extending over 10 kms with crystalline shallow waters. The beauty of the scenery is increased by the abundance of greenery and flowers. Various hotels, furnished apartments and rooms for rent, travel agencies, shops, bars, taverns and cafes are scattered around the surrounding area. Various amenities are available on the beach such as water sports and umbrellas and sun bed rentals.
Mastichari is 3 kms north west of Antimachia. Its white sand and its emerald waters are reminiscent of an exotic place. The little port in the village has daily connections to the island of Kalymnos.
Excellent taverns and accommodations line the beach and are scattered in the village and in the surrounding area.
Kefalos beach lies in front of the settlement of the same name, 43 kms from the capital of the island. This beach has the coldest waters around the island of Kos, which are also crystalline. It is one of the most beautiful beaches on Kos and the most famous one. Along the soft sand, many taverns line up offering fresh fish. Sun beds, umbrellas and water sports are available at Kefalos.
The fine Monastery of Agios Nikolaos is located at a very short distance from Kefalos. Accommodation is available.
Marmari is located in front of the coastal settlement of the same name, 5 kms from Pyli. At Marmari, it is possible to rent umbrellas, sun beds and water sport equipment.
Various taverns, restaurants, accommodation and cafes are waiting to welcome visitors in fine surroundings.
Kardamena Beach is located on the west coast of Kos, in front of the village of the same name. It stretches from the village port for over three kilometres. It has fine white sand and crystalline emerald waters. Sun beds and umbrellas are available as well as various facilities and accommodation because Kardamena is the second largest tourist resort on the island of Kos.
Lambi Beach is located in the town of Kos and stretches for 1 km, near the harbour of the capital. It is an organised sandy beach with umbrellas and sun beds as well as restaurants, snack bars and cafes. Accommodation is available in the area.
Sandy Bay is one of the most popular beaches. Food and drinks are available as well as water sports.
Therma in Greek means “hot”. This beach is called this because of its hot springs ending up in the sea and warming the water. The beach is made up of fine black sand and is located 8 kilometres from the centre of the capital of Kos (Kos Town).
