Information about Tinos

Tinos, because of its many churches, is famous for its religious tradition. The most important one is the church of Panagia Evangelistria. Thousands travel each year to worship the icon of the Virgin Mary which is hosted in the church. On August 15th the faithful fulfill their vow to the Virgin Mary starting on their knees from the port to reach the entrance of the church.
